This fabulous recipe was sent to me by Christine Howard. Christine writes:
"This is an all-purpose appetizer that takes 10 minutes to prepare & 10 minutes to cook."
Ingredients:
Must have
- 1 tube of crescent rolls or a pastry sheet or a pie crust sheet
- 6 oz of any kind of cheese
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp of finely chopped onion, bell pepper,celery
- cooking spray
Optional:
- 4-6 oz of any kind of finely chopped meat
- 3/4 tsp of any kind of spice to compliment your meat [tarragon for chicken, cumin for ground beef, fennel for fish, clove for ham, sage for turkey, rosemary for sausage, oregano for Italian meats, etc.]
- Chives, red pepper flakes, bacon bits to garnish
Directions:
Preheat over to 375 degree
Spray cooking spray to well-coat a 12 cup muffin tin
Saute salt, pepper, onion, bell pepper, celery, meat choice, and spice choice.
Roll out your bakery item, using a round cookie cutter or glass jar to make 12 circles to
press firmly into each muffin cup
Take saute mixture and evenly divide into the 12 muffin cups
Sprinkle with the cheese
Bake 10 minutes
